MIMOSA will be participating in the 2018 ARC Forum in Orlando Florida. Ken Dunn from BP will be presenting the OIIE in a session discussing platforms, IIOT, Big Data and Life-cycle Asset Management on Tuesday, February 13 at 2:00 PM.
MIMOSA will participate in the 2017 International Maintenance Conference being held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Bonita Springs Florida. MIMOSA and the OIIE will be featured in the Capital Projects Delivery short course on Dec 12, where it will be shown to be the basis for establishing and maintaining the Digital Twin addressing known requirements for Reliability and Asset Management.
MEETING Cancelation Notice: The MIMOSA Open and Members meeting has been cancelled due to the recent flooding events in Houston, which resulted in the closure of the BP Conference Facilities. We are in the process of re-scheduling the meetings. The most likely dates are now November 16-17, 2017.

MIMOSA will be participating in the Fiatech 2016 Technology Conference and Showcase to be held April 4-6 near Austin, Texas.
MIMOSA will hold an all day Standards-based Interoperability Strategy and Planning Workshop on Dec 2, 2015. The meeting will be hosted by BP America at their Westlake facilities in Houston, Texas and discussions will focus on plans for 2016, related to the further development and deployment of the Open Industrial Interoperability Ecosystem (OIIE), in conjunction with MIMOSA members, industry partners and other interested parties.
Particpating Industry Association Partners will include, Fiatech, PCA, OPC Foundation, PPDM and USPI.
The MIMOSA 2015 Members Business Meeting will be hosted by BP America in their Houston offices at Westlake Park Blvd. Houston, Tx, 77079 on Dec 1, 2015.
Registration and arrivals will commence at 9:00 AM CST, with coffee and pastries being served in the meeting room. The informal portion of the meeting will commence at 9:30 AM with a welcome and safety briefing from our host, Ken Dunn. The formal MIMOSA Business Meeting will begin at 2:00CST and will conclude at 4:00 PM CST.
A Joint MIMOSA and Fiatech Industry Standard Datasheet Definition Meeting will be held on August 4 and 5 in Houston, Texas and it will be co-located with the Solutions 2.0 Conference at The Westin Galleria, 5011 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77056. The meeting will start at 1:00 PM on Tuesday afternoon, August 4 and will end at noon on Wednesday, August 5. The meeting is an outgrowth of the continuing series of Joint Meetings associated with Reference Data Library improvement and there is a special emphasis on Physical Asset Life-cycle Management related RDL.

The 2014 Members Meeting will be held from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Monday Sep 8, 2014. All parties are welcome to the MIMOSA Open Meetings, which will be held from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, Sep 9, 2014. MIMOSA will participate in the Smart Fields Summit 2014 scheduled for January 27-28 in Houston, Texas. Alan Johnston, MIMOSA President, will present and discuss the Oil and Gas Interoperability (OGI) Pilot, which has become the major industry driven activity to achieve sustainable interoperability between key systems of systems used within the Oil and Gas industry and related industries. At this conference, Mr. Johnston will show and discuss the applicability of the OGI Pilot™ to the Upstream Sector.
MIMOSA will hold its 2013 Annual Business Meeting at 1300 S. Grove St. in Barrington, IL on Dec 11, 2013 from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM CST. There will also be planning sessions for our 2014 activities on the following morning, Dec 12 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. We encourage participation in the business meeting from all of our members in good standing. A GoToMeeting Web Conference will be provided for the meeting for those who cannot attend in person.
An ISO TC 184/WG 6 Meeting will be held in conjunction with the upcoming ISO TC 184 Plenary Meetings. NEMA is hosting both meetings at its offices in Rosslyn, VA (Suburban Washington D.C.). The ISO TC 184 Plenary is scheduled to end at noon on Dec 18. The ISO TC 184/WG 6 Meeting will be held in the same room, with a planned starting time of 1:00 PM on Dec 18. The WG 6 meeting will continue through 5 PM on Dec 18 and then resume at 9:00 AM on Dec 19 with a plan to end the meeting by 4:00 PM. In addition to the registered experts, all interested parties are encouraged to attend.
MIMOSA will once again be part of the PCA Asia Pacific Forum to be held in the Intercontinental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Oct 21-22, 2013. Alan Johnston, the MIMOSA President, will present and discuss the Oil and Gas Interoperability (OGI) Ecosystem, the OGI Pilot and the associated ISO OGI Technical Specification.
MIMOSA is participating in the 2013 Fiatech Members Meeting. This meeting brings together both Fiatech members and various industry partners including MIMOSA and POSC Caesar Association (PCA). MIMOSA and PCA are collaborating in several activities which are focused on Standards Based Interoperability, with a particular focus on the OGI Pilot and closely related industry standards and ISO activities.
MIMOSA is an invited guest at the Energistics PRODM SAM Workshop. MIMOSA and Energistics are both founding members of the Standards Leadership Council and we are thus committed to collaboration with each other resulting in using each others key standards rather than 're-inventing' wheels. In this case, the discussion is about how the PRODML SAM team can leverage the MIMOSA CCOM Asset Object Model.
The China National Institute of Standardization is hosting the Standards Leadership Council for a key oil and gas industry standards day. MIMOSA is a founding member of the Standards Leadership Council based on its lengthy history of work in the oil and gas industry, the MIMOSA CCOM Asset Object Model, the OpenO&M Specifications and the OGI Pilot and OGI Ecosystem. The following presentation provides an overview of those key contributions to the effort.
Cliff Pedersen, Chief Information Officer at North West Redwater Partnership (Retired) and Owner/Operator Leadership Council participant, along with Alan Johnston, MIMOSA President will be Keynote Speakers on May 2 at the MARTS Conference. Their joint presentation is entitled 'How Can IT Better Support Maintenance?' and it will focus on how methods and standards being proven through the OGI Pilot contribute to more effective Maintenance and also overall plant, platform and facilities Operational Excellence.
The Forum will feature presentations and discussion from owner/operators and invited guests (principally EPCs and standards team leaders as well as FIATECH) identifying key business requirements and solutions leveraging open, supplier neutral standards, with a focus on the benefits of using OpenO&M/MIMOSA and ISO 15926/PCA Reference Data Library in coordinated fashion.

MIMOSA meetings will be on held on October 4-6 in the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio -- the same venue as the World Congress on Engineering Asset Management which is running its main sessions on October 2-4. A MIMOSA Board meeting will be held the evening of October 5 with a full MIMOSA annual meeting with annual elections being held on October 6 at the University of Cincinnati Intelligent Maintenance Systems Center.
Register now for the OpenO&M / MIMOSA meetings scheduled for September 26 and 27 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando in conjunction with ISA Automation Week. OpenO&M and OGI Pilot meetings will be held in Room 414D on Wednesday morning, September 26 followed by an OpenO&M Interoperability Demonstration in the Exhibit Hall. OpenO&M and MIMOSA Technical Committee meetings will be held on Wednesday afternoon. The MIMOSA Annual Members meeting will be held on Thursday morning starting at 9AM.
Earlier this year, the executive leaders from each of the eight standards organizations most crucial to the oil and gas industry met to form the Standards Leadership Council. Participating organizations were: Energistics, MIMOSA, PIDX International, POSC Caesar Association (PCA), Professional Petroleum Data Moanagement Association (PPDM), The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), The OPC Foundation, The Pipeline Open Data Standards Association (PODS) and the Society of Geophysicist (SEG).
