  • Certification Process Description

Self certification of product compliance to specific MIMOSA specifications is accomplished through the completion of MIMOSA-supplied verification checklists and the use of common verification software provided by MIMOSA or other suppliers.

Certification is associated with a specific version of a product or device. New major version releases of a product or device will require another self-certification process and re-submittal to MIMOSA. Minor releases can have certification extended by the supplier with submittal to MIMOSA of a written notification that the minor release remains compliant with the earlier certification process related to the foregoing major release.

MIMOSA sponsors can submit multiple products as certified to MIMOSA during a calendar year. The use of the MIMOSA Compliant® logo and trademark for all certified products issued during the calendar year the company is a MIMOSA sponsor is granted for an unlimited number of product licenses. If a sponsor's membership lapses or is downgraded in category, the former sponsor company is not granted the use of the MIMOSA Compliant® logo and trademarks for any products sold or marketed.

Any company which desires to incorporate MIMOSA specifications available in the public domain may not use the logo or trademark MIMOSA Compliant® in describing their products without following the above process.
